Unum Group reports first quarter 2018 results

Unum Group (NYSE: UNM) today reported net income of $273.5 million ($1.23 per diluted common share) for the first quarter of 2018, compared to net income of $229.9 million ($1.00 per diluted common share) for the first quarter of 2017. Included in net income are net after-tax realized investment gains and losses on the Company’s investment portfolio.
