Effective Jan. 17, 2017, the Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share on its common stock to be paid on Feb. 17, 2017, to stockholders of record on Jan. 30, 2017.
Members of Unum Group senior management will host a conference call on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 9 a.m. Eastern to discuss the results of operations for the fourth quarter. Non-executive Chairman Thomas R. Watjen has informed Unum Group’s (NYSE:UNM) board of directors of his decision to not stand for re-election at the company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders in May 2017. Watjen’s retirement marks the completion of a two-year leadership transition that began in 2015 when he stepped down as CEO of the company and Richard P. McKenney assumed the role.
